TRAFFIC

PROPERTY CHECKS
- 134 business checks were made. 3 unsecure doors were found.
- 2 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.
INCIDENTS OF INTEREST
- Missing Person
On February 14, 2023, a report of a missing suicidal person was received from an out of state agency. The subject was said to be missing from New Jersey possibly on the way to Duck or Corolla. License plate data captured by the Town’s LPR system showed the suspect vehicle had not entered Duck. The reporting agency called later to report the subject has been located in New Jersey.
- Fraud (Seabreeze Lane)
On February 15, 2023, a subject reported that a personal check was fraudulently written on their account. The victim suspects the check was stolen by a former cleaner. The victim did not wish to pursue criminal charged but needed a report for their bank.
- Fraud (Scarborough Lane)
On February 18, 2023, a report was filed by a subject advising he received a bill from a local propane company for service at a Duck address. The reporting party was not affiliated with the Duck property and the propane company was unwilling to assist the subject with the accounting error. The investigating officer assisted the reporting party.

- Parking Lot/Duck Road
On February 14, 2023, minor damage occurred when a vehicle backed into a light pole in the parking lot.
