TRAFFIC

  • Officers issued 12 traffic enforcement actions during the week.

PROPERTY CHECKS

  • 86 business checks were made. No unsecured doors were found.
  • 3 extra patrol checks were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

  • Larceny (Ships Wheel Ct)

A contractor cleaning the pool at the residence stole a rental bicycle from the property. The offender was identified and charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and possession of stolen property. The rental bicycle was recovered.

  • Larceny (Four Seasons Beach Access)

A family parked five bicycles at the access and walked to the beach. When they returned two of the bicycles were missing. One bicycle was recovered in the area, but no suspects have been identified at this time.

  • Larceny (Scarborough Ln)

A bicycle was stolen from the carport area of the residence overnight. The bicycle was recovered in the area, but no suspects have been identified.

Traffic Crashes

  • Duck Rd

Officers responded to an incident where a cyclist crashed due to a vehicle pulling into the parking lot in front of him. The cyclist sustained minor injuries, but refused hospital transport.

  • Duck Rd

While attempting to leave the parking lot a SUV backed into a parked pickup truck. No injuries were reported.
