Duck, NC—The 3rd annual Duck Jazz Festival will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the Duck Town Park, 1200 Duck Road. Volunteers are needed for assistance in all phases of the day including set up, clean-up, hospitality, logistics, sales, etc. Volunteers will be asked to work a two-hour shift and attend a mandatory pre-event meeting.
This year’s festival will feature headliner Kim Waters on his 20th anniversary tour from Sacramento, CA. Other performers include Jackie Scott and the Housewreckers from Hampton Roads, VA; Joe Baione from Felton, DE; Connected from Elizabeth City, NC; and Joe Mapp and the Coordinates featuring Laura Martier from the Outer Banks, NC.
Last year’s Jazz Festival attracted nearly 3,000 people from all over North Carolina and the east coast.
