Jazz Saxophonist Kim Waters to headline Festival!!!
The 3rd Annual Duck Jazz Festival is being held on Sunday, October 11, 2009 beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Festival, being held on the Duck Town Green, 1200 Duck Road, will feature Sacramento-based jazz musician, Kim Waters, who is on his 20th anniversary tour. The event is free and open to the public and will be held shine or drizzle.

2:45 p.m. Jackie Scott & The Housewreckers
4:30 p.m. Kim Waters

About the performers:
Kim Waters- For two decades, this saxophonist, composer, and producer has been one of the premier architects of Urban Smooth Jazz and a beacon of light in contemporary jazz. He has garnered praise from critics and fans alike, amassing record sales of over a million albums and ranks among the top five best-selling instrumentalists in jazz.
Jackie Scott & The Housewreckers- Jackie Scott & the Housewreckers perform a unique fusion of blues, soul, rock, jazz, and rhythm and blues. Jackie Scott has opened for B.B. King and Taj Mahal, and performed at the 2007 Chicago Blues Festival. Jackie Scott & the Housewreckers hail from Hampton Roads, Virginia.
Joe Baione Trio- Joe Baione is a jazz vibraphonist, bandleader, educator, and producer. His passionate and energetic performances are being noticed by many in the jazz industry. He has recently recorded his second CD, Oh Yeah!, under the production of legendary jazz record producer Todd Barkan. This Delaware-based trio plays with Latin and African influences.
Connected- Connected is a jazz quintet based in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and specializes in providing classy jazz entertainment. Connected performs music that ranges from the “New Orleans” jazz style to the more contemporary jazz music of today.
Joe Mapp and The Coordinates featuring Laura Martier- Joe Mapp and the Coordinates featuring Laura Martier is the quintessential Outer Banks-based jazz band. They are well-known throughout the region for their rhythm, sound, and infectious music.
