  • Officers issued 1 traffic enforcement action during the week.

  • 2 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.     


  • Dispute (W Sea Hawk Drive)

On May 10, 2024, an officer was dispatched to this location for a dispute between the homeowners and a contractor over work performed. Officers de-escalated the situation and assisted in reaching an amicable resolution.

  • Suspicious Condition (W Charles Jenkins)

On May 11, 2024, an officer was dispatched to this location for a rental home eviction. A representative from the property management company was at the location after being alerted to underage persons renting the home in violation of the company’s rental policy. Officers assisted in reaching an amicable resolution in which the renters agreed to vacate the home the next morning.

  • Suspicious Condition (Duck Rd)

On May 12, 2024, an officer on patrol observed a vehicle parked on US Army Corps of Engineers property. The vehicle’s lights were turned off and the vehicle was parked in a suspicious manner. Upon investigation it was learned that the occupants of the vehicle were viewing the northern lights.


  • Parking Lot of Duck Road

On May 12, 2024, officers were dispatched to this location after a vehicle struck a building. No drugs or alcohol were suspected. A report was filed.

  • Duck Road / Sea Tern Drive

On May 12, 2024, an officer was dispatched to this location for a “hit and run”. The report came in an hour after the crash occurred.  A report was filed, but this case remains under investigation.
