TRAFFIC

  • Officers issued 16 traffic enforcement actions during the week. 

PROPERTY CHECKS

  • 126 business checks were made. 1 unsecure door was found.
  • 2 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.      

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

  • Narcotics Violation (Duck Road)

On May 6, 2023, following a traffic crash, a small baggie with a crystal-like substance was found in the parking lot of Town Hall. The baggie was retrieved and taken back to the Police Department where it tested positive as crystal meth.  The narcotic was destroyed.      

TRAFFIC CRASHES

  • Duck Road / Christopher Drive

On May 1, 2023, a tractor trailer was making a right turn onto Christopher Drive when the truck sideswiped a stationary vehicle waiting to make a left turn at the stop sign. No injuries were reported.

  • Duck Road / Scarborough Lane

On May 4, 2023, officers responded to a collision in the parking lot where a vehicle struck a parked car when pulling into a parking space. Minor damage was reported.
