  • Officers issued 28 traffic enforcement actions during the week.


  • 135 business checks were made.No unsecured doors were found.
  • 56 seasonal property checks were made.  3 unsecured doors were found.
  • 1 extra patrol was requested by an out-of-town property owner this week.     


  • Narcotics Violation (Jay Crest Road)

On March 4, 2024, officers were dispatched to the above listed location after the complainant reported smelling a strong odor of marijuana coming from the home, which houses seasonal employees. Upon arrival, the officers met with a supervisor, who confirmed the marijuana had been disposed of before the officers arrived.  The officers warned the tenants and explained the legal consequences of drug possession.

  • Larceny (Plover Drive)

On March 7, 2024, officers were dispatched to this location after a contractor was caught stealing water from the home. An employee with the construction company representing the home confronted the suspect and resolved the situation. The construction company declined to press charges.

  • Suspicious Condition (Wampum Drive)

On March 7, 2024, officers were dispatched to the above listed location in reference after the homeowner observed a suspicious male wearing a reflective vest walking around the property.  Officers located the male and confirmed he was employed by an underground utility marking company working in the area.

  • Damage to Property / Vandalism (Hillside Court)

On March 8, 2024, officers investigated a report of damage done to a home under construction, after damage was found to a new door. The suspect damaged the door but did not make entry into the home.

  • Suspicious Vehicle (Sandy Ridge Road)

On March 9, 2024, officers were dispatched to the above location after the homeowner reported that several vehicles were parked on their property.  Officers arrived, located the owners of the vehicles and asked that the vehicles be moved off the property. The vehicle owners complied without incident.    

  • Suspicious Person (Duck Road)

On March 10, 2024, officers were dispatched to the Han-Dee Hugo’s store after a complainant saw a male walking around the parking lot screaming. Upon arrival, the officers determined the male was an employee of the business who was having an argument with another person over the phone. 


  • Traffic Crash (Duck Road at Sandy Ridge Road)

On March 5, 2024, a vehicle on Duck Road was stopping for road construction when the vehicle behind it failed to stop before colliding into the rear of the first vehicle. Minor damage was reported.
