TRAFFIC

Officers issued 20 traffic enforcement actions during the week.

PROPERTY CHECKS

108 business checks were made. No unsecured doors were found.

6 extra patrol checks were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.

60 residential property checks were made. 2 unsecured doors were found.

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

Fraud (Georgetown Sands)

A Duck resident received four emails that provided invoices for the purchase of air pods (headphones) each with a total of $193.01.  The emails were sent to an email address that is not frequently given out by the resident, and the invoices also contained the last four digits of her credit card number. This incident remains under investigation.

 

Traffic Crashes

Duck Road/Oyster Catcher

Single vehicle crash, no injuries. Female driver was heading south on Duck Road in heavy rain conditions and puddled water on the roadway. The driver hit a heavy patch of water on the road and hydroplaned in between two small trees before striking a third tree head on.  The driver was not injured.
