Town of Duck Land Use Plan Draft Available for Public Comment

The Town of Duck’s draft Comprehensive and Land Use Plan is available for public comment from now until March 18, 2020. Town staff and the Advisory Committee have been involved in the updating process with planning consultants Stewart, Inc. since May of 2019. Public input has been a large part of the process and there are more chances to review documents and provide comments.

There are multiple ways to review the document and share your comments. Please visit here or for information. The draft plan can be viewed by downloading it directly from the website, viewing on the site and attaching comments, or by visiting the Duck Town Hall at 1200 Duck Road. Comments can be submitted via the web form, by emailing with the subject DuckLUP, or by mailing comments to PO Box 8369, Duck, NC 27949. Comments will be collected until March 18, 2020.

Save the date for the next public presentation on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:00 p.m. Consultants from Stewart, Inc. will present information, maps, and graphics included in the draft plan for public comment. The planning process is an opportunity for residents, business owners, property owners, and other stakeholders to tell their stories and help shape the distinct vision and unique identity for the community.
