Below is a short recap from the September 2024 Town Council meeting:
- Fire Captain Jeffrey Del Monte was recognized for 15 years of service with the Town
- Director of Community Development Joe Heard was recognized for 10 years of service with the Town
- Brandon Molenda was recognized for his promotion to Master Firefighter
- Greg Fiala was recognized for his promotion to Fire Engineer
- Council held a quasi-judicial public hearing for SUP24-001, a special permit application from Verizon Wireless, to establish a small wireless facility at 100 Dianne Street. Council voted unanimously to approve the application
- Council adopted the Town’s Emergency Operations Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan
- Council adopted Ordinance 24-05, which revises the provisions regulating the operation of golf carts in Duck, adding a requirement that seatbelts must be worn while the golf cart is in motion
- Council adopted a change to the Town’s fee schedule to reflect that an annual registration fee for golf carts be $25 and a fine of $50 for failing to register a golf cart, effective April 1, 2025
- The next meeting will be the Regular Meeting on Wednesday, October 2 at 1:00pm
