The Town of Duck, North Carolina, is seeking qualified contractors to provide landscaping and maintenance services related to the annual upkeep of the following three project areas:

  1. Duck Trail & Multi-Use Path (5.0 miles)
  2. Duck Town Park & Sound Side Boardwalk (5.2 acres and 0.9-mile boardwalk)
  3. Duck Village Sidewalks (1.7 miles)

In general, the contractor should have sufficient manpower, equipment and knowledge to provide the following services for all approximately five miles of the (1) Duck Trail, (2) the Duck Town Park plus 0.9 miles of the Duck Sound Side Boardwalk, and (3) approximately 1.7 miles of the Village bicycle and pedestrian sidewalks.  Details outlining the services related to the annual upkeep of each of the three landscaping locations within the Town of Duck may be obtained at the Town of Duck Administrative Office, 1200 Duck Road, Duck, NC 27949, 252-255-1234 or you can click here to download.

The proposal period begins on October 1, 2020 and concludes with a bid opening on October 29, 2020 at 10 am at the Town of Duck Paul F. Keller Meeting Hall, at which time the bids will be publicly open and read.  Proposals may be submitted to the Town of Duck Administrative Office or mailed to P.O. Box 8369, Duck, NC 27949 prior to the bid opening.

A pre-bid conference will be held at the Town of Duck Paul F. Keller Meeting Hall on October 15, 2020 at 10 a.m.  Attendance is required for those submitting a bid. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Proposal.  The Town of Duck reserves the right to reject any or all bids as allowed by the North Carolina General Statutes.
