The Town of Duck has contracted with Southern Disaster Recovery for storm debris clean up along the west side of Duck Road. We anticipate that initial debris collection will begin as early as Wednesday, October 24th.
Please be sure to separate your debris into the following categories:
Vegetative– Yard debris resulting from storm damage.
Construction and Demolition– This pile should consist of lumber, windows, doors, insulation, roofing, decking, cabinets, carpet, flooring, mattresses, and furniture.
Metal/White Goods– This pile should consist of metal objects such as bikes, gas grills, metal lawn furniture, and appliances, i.e. washers, dryers, refrigerators, and stoves damaged from the storm.
Any changes to the scheduled collection will be publicized. A second and hopefully final collection date will be determined following the initial recovery.
