Hurricane Florence Update- September 10, 2018 5:30 p.m.

Florence is now a Category 4 Hurricane with winds topping at 130 MPH. She is still forecast to make landfall sometime Thursday night as a major hurricane somewhere on the North Carolina coast. Tropical storm force winds could arrive as early as Wednesday evening and potentially continue into Saturday. With the current projected path, we are anticipating a storm surge of 10-15 feet above normal and sustained winds of 60 mph.

Trash collection for the Town of Duck, regularly scheduled for Friday has been CANCELLED. Service is scheduled to resume on Monday. Please be sure to secure all loose items that could blow around in the wind.
