Denver Lindley, Jr. Arts Scholarship available to Dare County Students

Are you or do you know a Dare County high-school senior with a talent for the visual arts?

The Denver Lindley, Jr. Scholarship fund is accepting applications now!

The Denver Lindley, Jr. Arts Scholarship was established in memory of Denver Lindley by Jim and Debbie Millis, Bill and Ellen Kealy and others to provide scholarships to graduating seniors attending high school in Dare County, NC. Denver Lindley was a Yale-educated artist who believed “the arts are vital to society”. Upon moving to the Outer Banks in 1988, he developed a following of those who admired the man and his talent. The scholarship may provide a $1,500 renewable award for students who will pursue full-time undergraduate degrees in visual arts from accredited post-secondary institutions. Scholarships will be applied to the cost of undergraduate tuition, fees, on campus room and board, and other college expenses.
