The Town of Duck is working to schedule debris pick up from Tropical Storm Michael and will announce that date as soon as the information is available. Please check the Town website and social media for all updates. Storm debris should be kept separate from bulk waste pick up items. All items should be sorted as follows:
- Vegetative – This pile should consist of any yard debris such as tree limbs, leaves, pine straw, or grass. Yard and vegetative debris must be bagged or CLEARLY tied into bundles of four (4) foot lengths or less weighing NO MORE than 50 pounds each.
- Construction materials – This pile should consist of lumber, windows, doors, insulation, roofing, decking, cabinets, carpet, flooring, mattresses, and furniture.
- Metal – This pile should consist of metal objects such as bikes, gas grills, metal lawn furniture, and appliances, i.e. washers, dryers, refrigerators, and stoves.
- TV’s, computers should be placed in a separate pile.
If items are not sorted they may not be picked up.
