Dangerous Soundside Flooding Continues; Curfews Extended Until 3:00 p.m. For All Areas Except Nags Head and Kitty Hawk

As forecasted, life-threatening conditions are impacting the area including extreme soundside flooding. STAY INDOORS, SHELTER IN PLACE. Emergency responders will be unable to respond to calls for assistance when conditions put their safety at risk.

The Dare County Control Group has extended the curfew until 3:00 p.m. Fridayfor all areas of Dare County except Kitty Hawk and Nags Head.

As forecasted, life-threatening conditions are impacting the area including extreme soundside flooding. STAY INDOORS, SHELTER IN PLACE. Emergency responders will be unable to respond to calls for assistance when conditions put their safety at risk.

All of Hatteras Island is without power. North of Oregon Inlet, approximately 1,800 Dominion customers are without power. On the Dare mainland, over 500 Tideland customers are without power.
