The Town of Duck has partnered with Jazziz Magazine to promote the Duck Jazz Festival, scheduled for Sunday, October 10, 2010.
For over 25 years, Jazziz Magazine has been covering the jazz world, documenting musical innovations, charting industry trends, and following the artists whose lives so colorfully inform our own. The award-winning magazine gives readers the lowdown, in print and online, on what’s hot (and what’s not) in the world of jazz with insightful editorial, hundreds of CD reviews, and inspired photography and design.
The Duck Jazz Festival will be held at the Duck Town Park, 1200 Duck Road on Sunday, October 10, 2010. The Festival is free to the public, and starts at 11:00 a.m., with gates opening at 10:00 a.m.
The Festival will be Headlined by Joyce Cooling, a guitarist and vocalist from San Francisco, CA, as well as co-hosted by the 2008 Duck Jazz Festival Headliner, Gerald Veasley from Philadelphia, PA. Others scheduled to perform include Adrian Crutchfield, from Charlotte, NC; Big Rick and the Bombers, from Wake Forest, VA; and the Roy Muth Big Band, from Norfolk, VA.
