EVENT: Hurricane Irene
PROCLAMATION DECLARING A STATE OF EMERGENCY
AND DECLARING A MANDATORY EVACUATION
IN THE TOWN OF DUCK, NORTH CAROLINA
Under authorization of North Carolina General Statute 14-288.12, and The Town of Duck Code of Ordinances Chapter 32, it has been determined that a threat to the safety of lives and property exists in the Town of Duck.
- In accordance with Section 32.02, the Mayor has declared a State of Emergency in the Town of Duck.
- In accordance with Chapter 32.07, a mandatory evacuation of all visitors is hereby declared for The Town of Duck beginning 8:00 a.m. on August 25, 2011.
- In accordance with Chapter 32.07, a mandatory evacuation of all residents is hereby declared for The Town of Duck beginning 8:00 a.m. on August 26, 2011.
- A curfew for the entire Town limits will be in effect beginning at 10:00 p.m. on August 26, 2011 and expiring on August 29, 2011 at 6:00 a.m. This curfew shall not apply to essential personnel of the Town of Duck.
This Proclamation shall become effective immediately, and is effective until terminated by a subsequent Proclamation.
