The Town of Duck, North Carolina, is seeking qualified contractors to provide construction services for activities related to the Northern Extension of the Duck Soundside Boardwalk. The project area is 1200 Duck Road (Duck Town Park), Duck, North Carolina, north to 1240 Duck Road (the Waterfront Shops), Duck, North Carolina.
The project includes all materials, labor, and equipment for the following: preparation of the site for construction, to include limited tree removal and demolition of specified existing structures within the proposed boardwalk alignment, construction of boardwalk sections over the Currituck Sound, construction of boardwalk sections over wetland and upland areas, and construction of a pier with boat slips and kayak launch.
Bid packages may be picked up at the Town of Duck Administrative Offices located at the Waterfront Shops, 1240 Duck Road, Suite 106, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or online at www.townofduck.com beginning November 22, 2010. A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Town of Duck Administrative Offices. Bids will be due at the Duck Administrative Offices no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2010.
