The Town of Duck, North Carolina, is seeking qualified contractors to provide construction services for activities related to the repair of the Duck Soundside Boardwalk caused by Hurricane Irene. The project area is 1200 Duck Road (Duck Town Park), Duck, North Carolina, north to 1240 Duck Road (The Waterfront Shops), Duck, North Carolina. The project includes all materials, labor, and equipment for the following: preparation of the site for construction, to include removal of damaged boardwalk and pier structures and reconstruction of the boardwalk, pier, and fishing/crabbing platform. Bid packages may be picked up at the Town of Duck Administrative Office located 1240 Duck Road, Suite 106 (The Waterfront Shops), Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or on-line beginning Monday, September 12, 2011. Bids will be due at the Duck Administrative Office no later than 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2011 at which time there will be a public bid opening.
