Planning board to Consider three (3) special exception applications at its February 12, 2020 meeting at 6:30 p.m.

The Town of Duck Planning Board will review the following applications at its public meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.

SE-19-002        Application by property owner Sharon Hart for a special exception relating to fill and grading activities at 1398 Duck Road, PIN 995010467381, including the following conditional uses: to allow the use of a bulkhead to contain and stabilize fill per Subsection 156.128(A)(6) of the Duck Town Code.

SE-20-001        Application by property owner Speight, LLC for two special exceptions relating to fill and grading activities at the unaddressed property north of 1336 Duck Road, PIN 995015545000, including the following conditional uses:

  1. To allow the use of a bulkhead to contain and stabilize fill per Subsection 156.128(A)(6) of the Duck Town Code; and
  2. To allow fill approximately five feet (5’) feet in depth behind the proposed bulkhead, exceeding the maximum of three feet (3’) of fill permitted in Subsection 156.128(A)(12)(a) of the Duck Town Code.

SE-20-002        Application by property owners Dave & Jeannine Cotner for a special exception relating to the construction of an addition at 108 Cook Drive, PIN 985912862981, including the following conditional uses: to allow an encroachment of four feet (4’) into the minimum front setback of 25 feet required pursuant to Subsection 156.030(D)(3) of the Duck Town Code.

Following the Planning Board’s recommendations, Duck Town Council is expected to conduct Public Hearings on March 4, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. to receive comments prior to its consideration of the special exception applications.
