The Town of Duck’s Police Department is offering its annual “Crime Prevention Seminar” for Outer Banks businesses. The seminar will be offered at three separate times for the convenience of the business community. The seminars will be on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Each session will be three hours in length and will be held at the Town of Duck Public Safety Building, 1259 Duck Road.
Topics will include shoplifting prevention and response; detecting and dealing with fraudulent financial transactions and counterfeiting; assessing and improving physical security; and an overview of judicial system functions. These topics will be the same for each seminar.
The Duck Police Department welcomes previous attendees for a pre-season refresher.
