Rotating Art Show

The Women Painters of the Outer Banks exhibit will be on display in the first floor conference room of the Town hall (1200 Duck Rd) from Friday, August 4 to Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

Born in San José, Costa Rica, Carolina graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art with emphasis in Painting from University of Costa Rica in 2007. She moved to the Outer Banks in 2011 and now her work draws inspiration from the scenic beauty of the area, her global travels, and the natural landscapes of her homeland. Known for her vibrant colors and playful use of dots and dashed lines, Carolina’s art reflects a
joyful celebration of life and nature.

Dawn Gray Moraga- Reddawn Designs
Dawn is an Outer Banks Artist who blends the love of water into her abstract seascapes and landscapes. She’s a mother, musician, and surfer who truly loves what the Outerbanks has to give . She paints full time and has a public easel at Ashley’s Espresso parlour where you can find her sipping on great coffee and painting daily.

Jackie Tury
Jackie is an award winning artist living in Kitty Hawk. She is endlessly inspired by the beautiful surroundings of the Outer Banks and is grateful to live in a place that speaks to her soul. Her vibrant paintings flow between expressive landscapes and colorful abstracts often inspired by her love of sea and sky.

Meg Rubino is a painter from Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Meg paints in watercolor and acrylic.  She is inspired daily by the natural beauty of the Outer Banks and attempts to capture the good feelings the surroundings evoke in her paintings.  She also loves travelling to other coastal towns to capture the local color. 

Taylor Williams-
Outer Banks-based artist, Taylor Williams, works mainly with oil paints after teaching herself the skill in 2017. Taylor paints the familiar landscapes of the Outer Banks where she grew up. Focusing her work on calm, ordinary moments of her home, she paints the changing colors of the sky and the different moods of the ocean. Although most of her work embodies peace or minimalism, she is also known to create pieces that are stormy and turbulent. 

Enjoy a free opening reception on Wednesday, August 9 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Come meet the artists and talk to them about their work.
