Rotating Art Show Opening Reception

Mary Ann Remer is originally a calligraphic artist and teacher with extensive training in the lettering arts. Eventually, she began looking for more freedom in her work and started taking classes in various medias. Upon moving to Venezuela with her husband and family in 1986 she expanded her study to oil painting and Spanish. In 1990, she returned to the states and added to her studies watercolor, acrylic, collage, and mixed media.
As a recent resident to the Outer Banks, her work has been juried in to the Dare County Arts Gallery in Manteo, The Arts of the Albemarle Gallery, Elizabeth City, Chowan Arts Council in Edenton, and the Perquimans Arts League in Hertford, North Carolina. She has also had her work represented in the Seaside Gallery, Int’l Miniature Exhibition, Ghost Fleet Gallery, and Copper Mermaid Gallery in Nags Head, along with the NC Wildlife Center and Silver Bonsai Gallery on Roanoke Island, NC.
An opening Reception for this exhibit will be held in the First Floor Conference Room of the Duck Town Hall on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Come meet the artist and view her work.
“Possibilities…What If? Mixed Media Exhibit by Mary Ann Remer will be on display Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. November 1, 2018- January 23, 2019 in the first floor Conference Room at Duck Town Hall, 1200 Duck Road. The show will be closed on weekends and holidays. Rotating Art Shows change quarterly, feature local artists, and are coordinated by volunteers for the Town of Duck.
