Rotating Art Show: “Creating Without Limits” Photography by Ann Snape Parsons
August 2, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 9:00 am, repeating until October 26, 2017
The Town of Duck invites the public to view the next exhibit in a series of Rotating Art Shows coordinated by volunteers for the Town of Duck.
Anne Snape Parsons, a native of Scotland, arrived in California as a young adult with one suitcase full of dreams. Those dreams took her from California, New York, Washington, D.C. and finally to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. After leaving the corporate world, she continued to adventure around the globe. But, it was on the Outer Banks after writing human interest stories for local papers, publishing two cookbooks, and exploring her fascination with foods and culture, that she discovered photography.
As a creative visionary, Anne refines the way she sees the world through her lens or, as she likes to say, “my real eyes”. Given this dreamscape, her mission is to produce a curated body of work that honours all people—no matter what size, weight, ethnicity, age, or colour. Anne wants everyone to celebrate their special self, to be visible, to be seen, to capture those fleeting moments that will become a cherished legacy for future generations. Because of her reverence for the human spirit, she shoots from the heart. Her goal is to recognize “that something special” that no one else has seen—it is her visual nourishment.
The “Creating Without Limits” showcase will be on display Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. August 2 through October 26 in the first floor Conference Room at Duck Town Hall, 1200 Duck Road. For more information, visit townofduck.com, or call 252.255.1234.
