“Witness To Wonder”

Jackie Tury is an award-winning artist living and painting in the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina. Jackie uses an intuitive painting process allowing each work of art to unfold layer by layer from the inside out with intuition as her guide. She focuses on the joy and freedom of the creative process—the colors, energy, emotion, and movement of the piece as opposed to a predetermined outcome. Each of her paintings begins with a positive affirmation or intention. Jackie says, “Painting allows me to explore and express my emotions on the canvas—to dream, play, create and awaken my inner artist and connect with my soul. “
Jackie is a trained clinical social worker with an M.S.W. as well as a certified life coach. She earned her bachelors degree at William and Mary and her masters degree at VCU. Jackie has loved art since she was a child but didn’t begin painting seriously until her “midlife metamorphosis” or “artful awakening” and has been painting ever since. She guides others to experience their own “artful awakenings” through her classes, coaching, and retreats. Jackie is now a full-time artist living her dream life at the beach. She has always been inspired by nature, the ocean, the sky, and the beauty in the world around her. Jackie is grateful for the opportunity to share this beauty with others through her art and offerings. Each of Jackie’s paintings is full of color, joy, and positive energy and that’s what she hopes they bring to you!
Artist Statement: One of the things I love most about living here in the Outer Banks is being a “witness to wonder” every day and sharing the beauty, magic, wonder of this special place with others through my art and photography. Each day is filled with its own unique beauty as the color and light of the sea and sky are in constant motion. Witness to Wonder is an expression of gratitude and an exploration of color. This collection features over 20 pieces of original artwork inspired by sea, sky, sound. I hope my paintings make you as happy as they make me.
