Full Circle- Mixed Media Rotating Art Show

An event every day that begins at 9:00am, repeating until July 26, 2018
Fred Vallade was born and raised in Altoona, PA. At the age of 19 he moved and lived around the New York City area for the next 30 years. In 1993, he relocated to the Town of Duck with his wife. Fred has been creating through many different avenues throughout his life, including oils, acrylics, graphics, and etchings. After moving to the Outer Banks, Fred decided to try a new direction in his art. It was at this point that clay was chosen, with his daughter, who has a degree in ceramics, as an influence.
“For me, artistic development is leaving the safety of familiar methods and discovering the elation of new techniques. I try to be flexible in my approach, both with the clay and in vision, and to embrace the unpredictable.” His work has been exhibited in many areas of the world and we are very happy to welcome his art to the Town of Duck. You can learn more about Fred and his work at www.duckpottery.info.
An opening Reception for this exhibit will be held in the First Floor Conference Room of the Duck Town Hall on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 3:00- – 5:00 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Come meet the artist and view his work.
