November 18, 2015 VHB Presentation – Pedestrian Improvements & Side Street Trail Crossings Assessment Project Summary
The Town of Duck Town Council held a public hearing on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 to receive comments on the final Comprehensive Pedestrian Plan (CPP) prior to considering a resolution to formally adopt the plan. The CPP is a long range planning document that recommends improvements to the multi-modal transportation system within the Town. Please click here to review the final document. (It is a large file; therefore, you will need to download the PDF.) The plan identifies project costs, implementation priorities and action items that will assist the Town of Duck with the implementation of suggested infrastructure improvements, public outreach and education and policy actions. A steering committee was formed to guide the CPP planning process, which was comprised of representatives from the Town of Duck business community, residents, community planners and elected officials, as well as Town contracted consultants and representatives from NCDOT. The final CPP has been reviewed and approved by NCDOT and NCDOT Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation.
