Town of Duck issues Temporary Accommodations for Businesses Subject to Covid-19 Restrictions

On Wednesday, May 20, the governor signed NC Executive Order 141, the Safer at Home Order and Phase 2 Easing of Restrictions.

Within the Town of Duck, the Mayor has authorized the Temporary Accommodation for Businesses Subject to Covid-19 Restrictions which temporarily offers more flexible standards for the use of outdoor dining and display areas, tents, and directional signs. To temporarily establish or expand outdoor areas, you will need to act on the following:

  • Outdoor seating/dining areas must obtain approval from and maintain compliance with the requirements of the Dare County Environmental Health Department.
  • Businesses seeking to implement these temporary provisions must submit information concerning their proposal for approval by the Community Development Department.
