Planning Board to Consider Special Exception Application at its Regular Meeting on December 14, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.

The Town of Duck Planning Board will review the following special exception permit application on December 14, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in order to provide a recommendation to the Duck Town Council:

SE 2016-002    Application by property owner Thomas W. Rose to consider a special exception permit application to construct an addition as close as 17.5 feet from the rear property line on the ground floor of the existing residence at 107 Wampum Drive, PIN 985912851851.  Section 156.030(D)(5) of the Town Code requires a minimum rear yard building setback of 25 feet in the Single-Family Residential (RS-1) zoning district.  This application request will be considered using the standards contained under Town Code Section 156.054 Special Exceptions for Specified Improvements to Single-Family Dwellings in Existence on July 1, 2003.

Following the Planning Board’s recommendation, the Duck Town Council is expected to conduct a Public Hearing on January 4, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. to receive comments on this application.  Please note that the Public Hearing date with Town Council is tentative and can change depending on the outcome of the Planning Board meeting.
