June 7, 2016 The application requesting approval of issuance of the Beach Nourishment Project - Special Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed: $6,963,000 - G.S. 1591-30 was formally approved by the North Carolina Local Government Commission. The Commission also approved the selection of the following financing team members for the above referenced revenue bond issues: Bond Counsel: Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein, LLP; Finance Advisor: DEC Associates, Inc.

March 4, 2015The Duck Town Council voted unanimously to approve the establishment of two Municipal Service Districts (MSDs) (MSD A and MSD B) related to the Town of Duck Beach Nourishment Project. Over 50 people were in attendance and three people spoke. In preparation for this public hearing, a report was prepared, which includes information on the proposed Town of Duck Beach Nourishment Project and Municipal Service Districts. MSDs will take effect July 1, 2015.

Public Notice from the Corps of Engineers, January 15, 2015 The Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, received an application from the Town of Duck seeking Department of the Army authorization to dredge 1.061 million cubic yards of beach-quality sediments from two offshore borrow sources, and deposit the material along approximately 1.7 mile-section of oceanfront shoreline, in the Town of Duck, Dare County, North Carolina.
