There are numerous volunteer opportunities with the Town of Duck which include: serving on a board, committee, helping with a special event, or within our offices. They are listed following:
Boards: There are two boards upon which individuals can serve:
- Planning Board - Members must be real property owners within the Town and do not have to be Town residents. At this point, all of the current planning board members are residents. For information on the Planning Board, click here.
- Board of Adjustment - Members must be Town residents. For information on the Board of Adjustment, click here.
Advisory Committees: These committees are established by the Town Council as needed and are appointed based upon each committee's needs. There are no residency or property ownership requirements to serve on these committees.
- Municipal Property Master Plan Advisory Committee -- For information, click here.
- Community Improvement Committee -- For information, click here.
Event and Office Volunteers: There are numerous opportunities available to assist with Town events and functions. There are no residency or property ownership requirements to volunteer in any of these capacities. There may be training requirements associated with these positions.
