Volunteer Opportunities with the Town of Duck include:

There are numerous ways which you can volunteer and assist the Town of Duck. These include serving on a board, committee, helping with a special event, or assisting with administrative activities. If you would like a hard copy of any of these documents, we will be happy to provide you with one.

Event and Office Volunteers: Town events are only possible with the help from our active and engaged community. There are no residency or property ownership requirements to volunteer in any of these capacities. However, there may be training requirements associated with these positions.

Summer Event Volunteer –Thank you for a great 2023 Season!

4th of July Parade & Celebration Volunteer

Jazz Festival Volunteer – 2024 Festival sign up coming Summer 2024. For Duck Jazz Festival Information, click here.

Yuletide Celebration Volunteer – To assist with the Town’s Tree Lighting and Santa’s Arrival.

Office Volunteer – To assist with general office needs and special projects.

Other Town volunteer opportunities include:

Beach Planting Volunteer– With the completion of the Beach Nourishment project, the Town is looking to further efforts preserve the dunes in that area. To sign up to help please email Sandy Cross at scross@townofduck.com

Boards: There are two boards on which individuals can serve:

Planning Board – Members must be real property owners within the Town and do not have to be Town residents. For information on the Planning Board, click here.

Board of Adjustment – There are no residency or property ownership requirements to serve.  For information on the Board of Adjustment, click here.

Advisory Committees: These committees are established by the Town Council as needed and are appointed based upon each committee’s needs. There are no residency or property ownership requirements to serve on these committees.
