There will be a Summer Event & 4th of July Parade volunteer meeting on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 9 a.m. in the Town Meeting Hall. 

The Town of Duck also seeks volunteers for the Duck Jazz Festival. The 9th Annual Duck Jazz Festival will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2015.

In 2015, the Town of Duck will also be partnering with The ADVICE 5K Turkey Trot 20th Anniversary Community Concert!  Volunteers are invited to sign-up here to assist with a special event for this year’s ADVICE 5K Turkey Trot 20th Anniversary Community Concert on the Duck Town Green, Wednesday, November 25, 2015.

Volunteer Opportunities with the Town of Duck include:

There are numerous ways which you can volunteer and assist the Town of Duck. These include serving on a board, committee, helping with a special event, or assisting with administrative activities. For the Volunteer Opportunities Form, click here.  Additionally, all volunteers will need to sign our Volunteer Policy which was adopted by the Duck Town Council. To view the policy, click here.

Boards: There are two boards that individuals can serve on:

Planning Board – Members must be real property owners within the Town and do not have to be Town residents. For information on the Planning Board, click here.

Board of Adjustment – Members must be real property owners within the Town and do not have to be Town residents. For information on the Board of Adjustment, click here.

Advisory Committees: These committees are established by the Town Council as needed and are appointed based upon each committee’s needs. There are no residency or property ownership requirements to serve on these committees.

Municipal Property Master Plan Advisory Committee – For information, click here.

Wall Decor, Artwork, and Memorabilia Committee

Event and Office Volunteers: There are numerous opportunities available to assist with Town events and functions. There are no residency or property ownership requirements to volunteer in any of these capacities. There may be training requirements associated with these positions.
