Interested in volunteering for Town of Duck events? Please check back in late spring for information on Summer Event Volunteers, including the 11th Annual 4th of July Parade taking place on Friday, July 3, 2015. There will be a Summer Event & 4th of July Parade volunteer meeting on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 9 a.m. in the Town Meeting Hall.
The Town of Duck also seeks volunteers for the Duck Jazz Festival. The 9th Annual Duck Jazz Festival will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2015.
Volunteer Opportunities with the Town of Duck include:
There are numerous ways which you can volunteer and assist the Town of Duck. These include serving on a board, committee, helping with a special event, or assisting with administrative activities. Boards: There are two boards that individuals can serve on:
Planning Board – Members must be real property owners within the Town and do not have to be Town residents. For information on the Planning Board, click here.
Board of Adjustment – Members must be real property owners within the Town and do not have to be Town residents. For information on the Board of Adjustment, click here.
Advisory Committees: These committees are established by the Town Council as needed and are appointed based upon each committee’s needs. There are no residency or property ownership requirements to serve on these committees.

Event and Office Volunteers: There are numerous opportunities available to assist with Town events and functions. There are no residency or property ownership requirements to volunteer in any of these capacities. There may be training requirements associated with these positions.

Yuletide Celebration Volunteer – To assist with the Town’s Tree Lighting and Santa’s Arrival
Office Volunteer – To assist with general office needs and special projects.
