Tax Collections
Duck residents pay real and personal property taxes to Dare County
for services such as the schools, sheriff, and emergency and public
health and a 9 cent (per $100 valuation) ad valorem property tax to
the Town of Duck for the services it provides. These include fire
protection, solid waste collection & disposal, planning, zoning &
inspections, law enforcement, and surf rescue.
Tax bills for the fiscal year 2005-2006 are payable to the County Tax
Office, presently located at 211 Budleigh Street, in Manteo;
