After much deliberation, festival organizers decided to cancel this year’s Duck Jazz Festival and all associated events based on potential impacts from Hurricane Matthew. This ended up being the right decision as wind speeds in excess of 60 mph with gusts at 80 mph in Duck were recorded, and rainfall caused flooding along NC 12 / Duck Road. Regardless, it was a difficult thing to have to do! We are working on bringing this year’s performers back next year for the 11th Annual (minus 1) Duck Jazz Festival.
10th Annual Duck Jazz Festival T-Shirts are still available for sale through the Duck Fire T-Shirt Shop at http://www.shop.duckfire.org/ , or at the Town Hall. The Long Sleeve shirts are red, while Short Sleeve shirts are Midnight Blue.
