RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF DUCK, NORTH CAROLINA, ESTABLISHING THE MUNICIPAL PROPERTY MASTER PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Resolution #05-03
WHEREAS, the Town of Duck has purchased 10.33 acres of sound front property located on NC 12; and
WHEREAS, a Municipal Property Master Plan Study Committee was established to develop a master plan and implementation schedule for the development of the property; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Property Master Plan Study Committee completed its work in December of 2004 and presented its report to the Town Council on January 5, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council will consider the report of the Municipal Property Master Plan Study Committee at its February 16, 2005 Mid Month Meeting and is expected to approve the report and the plans contained therein subject to changes agreed to by the Town Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF DUCK, NORTH CAROLINA, THIS 2nd DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2005, that there is hereby established a Municipal Property Master Plan Advisory Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Municipal Property Master Plan Advisory Committee (the Committee) shall be comprised of the following three members, Paul Keller, Donna Black, and Charlie Pratt, who shall each serve on the Committee for a term equal to the length of project, unless removed by action of the Town Council. The Committee shall establish a regular meeting time at an interval deemed necessary to complete their work in a timely manner. The Town Manager shall provide support to the Committee and the Committee shall be assisted by other Town Employees as required; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Committee shall be responsible for advising the Town Manager or his designee and the Town Council on issues related to the implementation of the Municipal Property Master Plan. The Committee shall be granted the authority to make decisions regarding issues related to the Municipal Property Master Plan. This authority is only granted for those decisions that relate substantially to the plan as adopted by the Town Council and is further limited to those aspects of the plan that have been approved for funding by the Town Council; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that additional funding shall be provided as required and as recommended by the Town Manager and approved by the Town Council to assist the Committee in its endeavors.
