Duck’s 4th of July Celebration Ranked as One of Top 10 Small Town Celebrations in the United States

The Town of Duck’s 4th of July Festivities have been ranked as One of the Top 10 Small Town Celebrations in the United States by ABC News.  Please join us for this Duck tradition on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. as we celebrate the 4th of July and recognize the Duck Volunteer Fire Department as the Parade’s Grand Marshall. The Parade Route begins at the crest of the hill on Scarborough Lane continues towards the Atlantic Ocean, turns left on Ocean Way, and loops back down Christopher Drive.  (No part of the Parade is on Duck Road – NC 12!)  Remember to arrive early to get the best viewing location on the Parade Route.  A community celebration featuring music by Ruth Wyand and Friends, refreshments, and the awarding of Parade trophies will immediately follow the Parade at the Duck Town Park, 1200 Duck Road.  For more information on the Parade, visit the 4th of July page of this site.
