WATER TANK LEVELS IN DUCK, SOUTHERN SHORES, AND KITTY HAWK RETURN TO NORMAL LEVELS

The Dare County Water Department storage tank levels have returned to normal operating levels following the lightening strike that caused a water main break near the Duck Research Pier. The conservation efforts following the water main break assisted the Water Department in shortening the time necessary to restore system pressures to normal levels. Crews have made necessary repairs and the special request for water conservation in Duck, Kitty Hawk, and Southern Shores has been lifted.
