Town Council Will Conduct a Public Hearing on Final Draft Comprehensive Pedestrian Plan

On Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., the Town Council of the Town of Duck will conduct a public hearing on the following item: 

Town of Duck Comprehensive Pedestrian Plan 

The Town of Duck Town Council will hold a public hearing and receive comments on the final draft Comprehensive Pedestrian Plan (CPP).  The CPP is a long range planning document that recommends improvements to the multi-modal transportation system within the Town. Please click here to review the final draft. (It is a large file; therefore, you will need to download the PDF.)  The plan identifies project costs, implementation priorities and action items that will assist the Town of Duck with the implementation of suggested infrastructure improvements, public outreach and education and policy actions. A steering committee was formed to guide the CPP planning process, which was comprised of representatives from the Town of Duck business community, residents, community planners and elected officials, as well as Town contracted consultants and representatives from NCDOT. The final draft CPP has been reviewed and approved by NCDOT and NCDOT Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation. The Town of Duck Town Council will hold a public hearing and accept comments on the plan prior to considering a resolution to formally adopt the plan.

Any person may appear or be represented by an agent to present comments on these items.  Written comments may be submitted to the Town Council, Town of Duck, P.O.
