Three hearings for the Mid-Currituck Bridge Project to be held

The State of North Carolina Turnpike Authority (NCTA) has announced dates for pre-hearing open houses and combined corridor/design public hearings to accept public comments on the mid-Currituck bridge study.

Pre-hearing open house/public hearing dates:

Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Ramada Plaza Nags Head Beach, 1701 South Virginia Dare Trail, Kill Devil Hills, NC. Pre-hearing open house from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Public hearing to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education, Currituck Heritage Park on NC 12, Corolla, NC. Pre-hearing open house from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Public hearing to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the Currituck County Center, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC. Pre-hearing open house from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Public hearing to begin at 7:00 p.m.

The Town of Duck has available for public review one copy of the Corridor Design Public Hearing Map, Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), and associated technical reports for the subject project. These materials will be available for public review through June 7, 2010.
