Reward of up to $2,500 Offered for Information Regarding the Person Responsible for the Hit-and-Run Death of Mrs. Janna Brannan

The Duck Volunteer Fire Department (DVFD) is offering a reward of up to $2,500 in exchange for information about the person responsible for the hit-and-run death of Mrs. Janna Brannan, wife of Duck Volunteer Firefighter Boyd Brannan. The reward will be paid for original information which results in a warrant for arrest or a grand jury indictment for this crime*.

On Wednesday, October 13, 2010, the Duck Police Department and the Duck Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call of an unconscious female in the road at 108 Cook Drive, Duck, North Carolina. According to investigators, the victim was struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle travelling west on Cook Drive between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. The case is being investigated by The Duck Police Department.

(*The reward eligibility is met even if the subject is not convicted or flees arrest. The DVFD will decide who is entitled to a reward and in what amount. This reward is good one year from the date it is first offered, December 15, 2010, unless extended by the DVFD.)
