Planning Board to Consider Conditional Use Permit Application on June 11, 2014 at 6:30 p.m.

The Town of Duck Planning Board will review the following application on June 11, 2014 at 6:30 p.m.:

CUP-14-003   Application by Michael Strader, Jr. P.E. of Quible & Associates, P.C. on behalf of FMC/NV Sanderling SPE, LLC for a conditional use permit amendment to allow the addition of 24 guest rooms at the Sanderling Resort and Spa located at 1461 Duck Road, PIN 995110255523. A new third story on the existing North Inn building would add 18 guest rooms to the property.  The remainder of the rooms would be added within the existing floor area of the Main Inn building. Additional parking and associated improvements to support the new guest rooms are also proposed at the Sanderling Resort properties to include 1461, 1570, and 1574 Duck Road. This application will be considered in accordance with Town Code Sections 156.034 and 156.145.

Following the Planning Board’s recommendation, the Town Council of the Town of Duck is expected to conduct a Public Hearing on July 2, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. to receive comments on this item.  Please note that the Public Hearing date is tentative and could change depending on the outcome of the Planning Board meeting.
