Please Do Not Feed or Approach the Town’s Wildlife

Many areas in Duck provide a natural habitat for our animal population which includes red foxes, white tailed deer, possums, nutria, turtles, snakes, muskrats, and river otters. The Town has also been designated as a bird sanctuary.

Although our wildlife may be interesting and photogenic, remember that these are wild animals and should not interact with humans in any way.

Please do not feed wildlife or otherwise approach it, as you may risk injury to yourself and those around you. The best way to discourage wildlife from coming near you or visiting your property is not to provide a food source.

Thank you so much for heeding this warning and helping us to protect the Town’s animal population and our natural habitats as we all enjoy the beautiful Town of Duck together.
