Duck Town Council Seeks Residents Interested in Vacant Council Seat

The Town Council of the Town of Duck, North Carolina, is seeking interested residents of the Town who wish to be considered for appointment by the Town Council to fill the seat of Councilor Dave Wessel, who is resigning his position on the Town Council effective July 15, 2012.  The term of this appointment is from August 2012 through December 4, 2013.

Individuals interested in being considered for appointment are asked to complete an application that is available at the Town Offices located at 1200 Duck Road or  by completing one of the following applications:

Town Council Application Form  (To complete online and submit via email, fax, or in person.)

Applications are due in the Town Offices by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012, and may be dropped off in person, faxed to (252) 255-1236, or emailed to info@townofduck.com.

The Town Council will finalize the process for selection of the appointee at its July 5, 2012, Regular Meeting to be held in the Town of Duck Meeting Hall located at 1200 Duck Road at 7:00 p.m.  The appointment will not take place at this meeting.  The Town Council will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, July 26, 2012, in the Town of Duck Meeting Hall located at 1200 Duck Road at 1:00 p.m. to review submitted applications.  Applicants should be prepared to attend this meeting.
