NEW BUSINESS
- A discussion was held on all
of the improvement work in process and/or completed at the Duck Soundside
Shoppes as of the meeting date.
- A Village Improvement Program
Grant was unanimously awarded to the Soundside Shoppes Owners Association in
the amount of $2,500; total project cost was estimated at $7,349.76.
- A Village Improvement Program
Grant was unanimously awarded to Plum Crazy in the amount of $2,500; total
project cost was estimated at $5,800.
- A Village Improvement Program
Grant was unanimously awarded to Surfside Casuals in the amount of $2,500;
total project cost was estimated at $5,200.
- The committee discussed the
current parameters for awarding Village Improvement Grants. This discussion
was based upon the fact that four businesses from the Soundside Shoppes have
applied for and received grants; therefore allowing a single shopping center
that is doing major work to totally deplete the Village Improvement Grant
fund. The committee decided to leave the parameters the same and monitor
grant applications closely in case a recommendation needs to be sent to
council revising them.
APPROVAL OF
MINUTES
- Minutes from the June 6, 2006
meeting were unanimously approved.
